This villa is located in the north of Portugal in Vila Nova de Cerveira, south of the river Minho back turned to Spain. Early in the analysis of the land we had been inspired by the volumes created by the Rocky Mountains features of this northern area of the country.
Of these volumetric rocky terrain comes this proposal comes with solid lines and edges creased, similar to the lines of rock. The two volumes intersepted define the interior dividing the villa into two distinct zones in the entrance floor, separating the social area of the rest of the home.
The materials chosen for the outside of the villa, are white plaster and reddish wood, two distinct colors that are differentiated in the surrounding so the villa could live in a environment, gray and dry green characteristic of this region of the landscape.
We had developed this architectural project of 12 houses near Viana do Castelo with a new concept. To be build in Barroselas, land known for its connection to the inert extraccion (CLAY) and the production of ceramics.
